Oma Grete's Kindergarten
Kinderhilfe in Namibia e.V. utilized donations from Oma Grete Birrenbach and her family on the occasion of her 100th birthday for the establishment of a kindergarten in a very rural area in the north of Namibia.
Currently a hostel for the children coming from long distances is under construction. These children can stay now at the kindergarden during the week.
Due to the establishment of this kingergarden the school is qualified for a pre-primary school and will have two qualified teachers as from January 2009.
Ombahe Primary School Kinderhilfe in Namibia e.V. donated building material
for the construction of two classrooms, one store room, the renovation
and the fencing of the school.
The Kiwanis-Club Bad Dürkheim made funds available for the construction of a kindergarden, which will be inaugurated at the beginning of 2009.
GK Wahl Combined School Kalkfeld Kinderhilfe in Namibia e.V. donated funds with the support
of the BMZ for the construction of a block with three fully equiped
classrooms and a storeroom. The hostel was upgraded with new mattresses,
beds and cabinetts. The school also received some years ago funds
for a sewing project for the making of school clothes.
King Kauluma Junior Secondary School
Kinderhilfe in Namibia e.V. funded the purchase of building materials
for two class rooms. The work was done by the local community.
Kindergarten Khorixas
Kinderhilfe in Namibia e.V. supported the construction of a Kindergarten
in Khorixas.
Otjikondo School Village Foundation
Kinderhilfe in Namibia e.V. funded the equipment with solar panels.
Amweelo Junior Primary School
Kinderhilfe in Namibia e.V. supported the construction of four
class rooms and a storage room.
Dr Frans Aupa Indongo Primary School
The school - situated in the poorest part of Windhoek – receives funds for some small projects from the “Landesbausparkasse Baden-Württemberg. A school garden should help the learners to understand more about nature, a playground for the youngest was established. In 2008 we finished the construction of a mulit-purpose hall with the financial assistance of “Sternstunden”, the Christmas action of the Bavarian Broadcasting.

Kinderhilfe in Namibia e.V. supported the construction of four
class rooms.
Kandume Combined School
Kinderhilfe in Namibia e.V. supported the construction of six
class rooms.
Rehoboth Primary School The school - situated in the poorest part of Rehoboth - received funds for the construction of a Basketball court, the kitchen equipment for the feeding scheme of Aids orphans and some other small projects. The construction of a multi-purpose hall – funded by the “Irma –Pfeifer-Stiftung - was finished in 2008.

At the end of 2010 the construction of an extension of that hall started, with the financial support of the German „Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development”. The project included all furniture. This second phase was inaugurated in April 2011.

In August 2011 the building of a new kindergarten was officially opened. The funds were mainly contributing by the community of the Catholic Church in Linz/Germany, the Irma Pfeifer Foundation and the Kleine and Birrenbach family.
An outdoor playground will be opened in September 2011.

Oshinamumwe Combined School
This school is in the North, about 25 km south of Omithiya. We built eight class rooms, two store rooms and sixteen toilettes. This is the first time that prefabricated classrooms were built in Namibia. We will proof with this project that class rooms could be built much cheaper. The project included the furniture for all rooms and six solar cookers.
The project was completely funded by “Sternsutnden”, the benefiz programme of the “Bavarian Broadcasting”. Prime Minister Nahas Angula and the German Ambassador Egon Kochanke were guests at the cornerstone ceremony.
